The German-Jordanian University (GJU) and the German Friedrich Schiller University Jena (FSU Jena) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate in the fields of scientific, academic and research exchange of common interest.

Under the MoU, the two sides will coordinate in the student exchange programs, and work on joint educational, research and cultural projects, in addition to participating in various scientific conferences.

At the signing ceremony, President of the GJU, Dr. Manar Fayyad, presented a briefing on the university's academic programs, adding they were built on the same basis as its German counterparts in applied sciences.

Pre-graduate students are sent to Germany to study a full year in the German partner university, and get training opportunities in German companies or factories, Fayyad pointed out.

For his part, Jena Center for Reconciliation Studies (JCRS), Friedrich-Schiller, stressed the importance of cultural, academic and student exchange cooperation to obtain more scientific and practical expertise.
