Jordan denies Agriculture Ministry stopped importing from Syria

Al-Anbat - Minister of Agriculture and Environment Ibrahim Shahahdeh on Thursday denied his ministry has decided to stop importing vegetables and fruits from Syria, as some vegetable traders and exporters claimed. 

"The door is still open for exporting and importing agricultural produce to and from Syria," the minister told Petra .

Meanwhile, President of the Jordan Exporters and Producers Association for Fruits and Vegetables, Saadi Abu Hammad said that two days ago the Ministry of Agriculture has stopped importing of vegetables and fruits from Syria.
