JERUSALEM - The Al-Aqsa Mosque will have clinics open in its courtyards to serve worshipers during the holy month of Ramadan, according to the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.

The ministry has prepared clinics inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque, affiliated with the Arab Health Center, in addition to opening temporary field clinics distributed in the mosque's courtyards as a precautionary measure for any health emergency. These clinics will include specialized doctors and paramedics to serve worshipers during Ramadan.

Minister of Awqaf, Mohammad Al-Khalaileh, said during a meeting with journalists that the Jerusalem Awqaf Department reports to the ministry with all its employees, noting that the number of employees in Jerusalem is about 800, working in the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Islamic endowments. The ministry also supervises 120 mosques in Jerusalem, in addition to a number of Islamic endowments.

Al-Khalaileh explained that a comprehensive program has been put in place in the Al-Aqsa Mosque for the call to the five daily prayers, and a program for the daily imamate for the Isha and Taraweeh prayers, in addition to a program for preaching and recitation.

The ministry has carried out maintenance and renovation work on the facilities of the Al-Aqsa Mosque before the start of Ramadan, including updating audio systems and cables, and installing umbrellas in a number of locations inside the mosque's courtyards, in addition to providing special tents to protect worshipers from the cold and rain.

The infrastructure in the Al-Aqsa Mosque has been inspected, and work is underway with the mosque's guards to organize the entry and exit of worshipers in a way that ensures ease of movement and flow.

Al-Khalaileh expressed his hope that Ramadan would pass without any restrictions on worshipers in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing that the ministry is working to provide a safe environment for worshipers inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
