Expansion of Ajloun's Iman Government Hospital Nears Completion

AJLOUN, Jordan - The expansion of the Iman Government Hospital in Ajloun is nearing completion, with overall progress at 92%, according to Jordan's Minister of Public Works and Housing, Maher Abu Al-Samen.

The project, valued at 30.3 million Jordanian dinars, aims to create a comprehensive medical facility spanning approximately 38,000 square meters.

The main hospital building consists of ten floors, with a current capacity of 200 beds. The design allows for future expansion to accommodate up to 350 beds.

The ground floor will house parking, general storage, a medicine warehouse, and a medical gas system. The first floor will include the central kitchen, laundry, and an additional medicine storage area.

The second and third floors will feature outpatient clinics, administrative offices, the main pharmacy, and the accounting department. The fourth floor will house the emergency department, the main laboratory, the radiology department, and a minor operating room.

The fifth floor will contain the surgical wing and intensive care units, including five operating rooms, a 12-bed intensive care unit (ICU), an 11-bed coronary care unit (CCU), and the forensic medicine department.

The seventh floor will include the obstetrics and gynecology department, the premature infant unit, and a dedicated operating room. The eighth, ninth, and tenth floors will be dedicated to patient rooms for women, men, and children, respectively.

The project also includes a separate building for nurses' accommodation and a nursery, designed to provide a comprehensive working environment for medical and nursing staff.
