Oslo-listed DNO has suspended its oil production in Iraqi Kurdistan as a precautionary measure, the company said Saturday, following reported attacks on neighboring Iran.

The United States and Israel reportedly launched a military offensive against Iran, which responded in kind, fueling concerns of a wider regional conflict.

"We have been preparing for a total shutdown of operations over the past few weeks, and today, as a precautionary measure, we have temporarily suspended operations and moved our staff to safe locations," DNO Chief Executive Bijan Mossavar-Rahmani said, according to Reuters.

In February, Iraq's total oil exports from the Kurdistan region amounted to 200,000 barrels per day.
