Jordan's Charity Drug Bank will launch a project to provide secure medicine storage boxes, according to Ashraf Kilani, Chairman of the Board.
The initiative aims to reduce medicine waste in homes and ensure medicines are stored safely and effectively for as long as possible, Kilani said.
The bank will continue to hold free medical days and host the third conference showcasing the Charity Drug Bank's history since its establishment.
Kilani highlighted the importance of King Abdullah II's recent meeting with national humanitarian initiative leaders, stating that royal support motivates the Charity Drug Bank's continued efforts.
Established under the Associations Law No. (51) of 2008 and amendments, the bank operates under the Ministry of Health, mirroring similar charitable drug banks worldwide.
These banks provide free medicines to patients in need who cannot afford them.
The Charity Drug Bank also conducts health awareness campaigns across various health domains to improve public health in Jordan.
These campaigns also aim to raise awareness about the dangers of narcotics and other harmful drugs, particularly among young people.
