The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) quickly recovers from shocks caused by regional geopolitical tensions, the bourse's chief executive officer said Sunday.

Speaking to local media, CEO Mazen Al Wathaifi stated that the exchange is operating normally, in line with standard operations across state institutions.

Al Wathaifi emphasized that stock exchanges globally are susceptible to various factors, including geopolitical events. However, he noted their capacity to rebound swiftly.

He highlighted the fundamentally positive factors associated with the Amman Stock Exchange, citing the positive performance of listed companies and favorable indicators within the national economy.

"Undoubtedly, we have previously navigated challenging circumstances such as the global financial crisis and the repercussions of the Gaza conflict. We overcame these hurdles and achieved a positive, upward trajectory," Al Wathaifi stated.

The ASE's resilience comes as global markets have been broadly affected by escalating regional tensions following attacks involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.
