RIYADH - Saudi Arabia's Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has expanded a precautionary recall of specific batches of Aptamil Advance 2 infant formula, manufactured by Nutricia in Poland.
The SFDA stated that the recall is a proactive measure coordinated with the producing company, which will voluntarily remove the affected batches from pharmacies in conjunction with SFDA inspection teams.
The affected batch numbers are: 101461960, 101464040, 101462866, 101466224, 101467443, 101474963, 101477883, and 101483792. The recalled product is Aptamil Advance 2 (6-12 months) in 400g and 900g sizes.
The SFDA urges consumers who have purchased these batches to return them to the point of sale for a replacement. The authority also encourages the public to report any complaints or concerns through its toll-free hotline 117114 or via WhatsApp at 0795632000, available 24/7.
