Qatar Intercepts Missiles, Drones Reportedly from Iran

Qatar's military said its air force intercepted missiles and drones allegedly originating from Iran, highlighting regional tensions.

The Ministry of Defense stated that Qatari Emiri Air Force successfully engaged seven ballistic missiles using air defense systems. Additionally, five drones were shot down by the Qatari Emiri Air Force, with support from the Qatari Emiri Naval Forces, after the drones targeted several areas within the country.

According to a statement, two SU-24 warplanes coming from Iran were also shot down.

The ministry emphasized that the interceptions were carried out with high efficiency, reflecting the armed forces' ongoing readiness and measures taken to maintain the state's security and territorial integrity.
