AMMAN - Al Ahli and Al Salt battled to a 1-1 draw in their Jordan Premier League encounter on Thursday, leaving both teams with mixed feelings as they look to climb the league standings.
The match, held at Petra Stadium in Al Hussein Youth City, saw Al Ahli take the lead in the 63rd minute through Hamza Al-Naeem. However, Al Salt responded with an equalizer in the 78th minute, ensuring a share of the spoils.
With this result, Al Salt maintains its position in fifth place, now holding 19 points. Al Ahli, meanwhile, remains in ninth place, second to last, with a total of 10 points.
The draw does little to alleviate the pressure on either side, both eager to secure victories and improve their standing in the league.
Looking ahead, the league continues with two matches scheduled for Friday. Al Sarhan is set to face Al Ramtha at Al Hassan International Stadium in Irbid, while Al Jazeera will visit Al Wehdat at King Abdullah II Stadium in Al-Quwaismeh.
