AMMAN - Five people were injured in Jordan after being struck by falling debris, the Public Security Directorate announced. Authorities are urging citizens to exercise caution and report any suspicious objects.
The Public Security Directorate reported that civil defense and police personnel responded to 115 incidents involving falling objects and debris across most of the kingdom's governorates between Sunday morning and 8:00 PM.
Four of the injuries occurred in the Central Badia region. Those injured were treated at a hospital and subsequently discharged. The fifth injury took place in the Irbid Governorate, where the individual is currently receiving medical care. The falling debris also caused material damage to 11 vehicles and 19 homes, according to the directorate.
The Public Security Directorate reiterated the importance of adhering to safety guidelines issued by authorities. Citizens are urged to contact the unified emergency number (911) if they observe anything unusual.
The directorate emphasized the need to avoid approaching any suspicious object under any circumstances due to the potential danger.
