BEIRUT - Israeli forces announced the elimination of a commander from the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) group in Lebanon during an operation in the Beirut area.

The commander, identified as Adham Adnan Al-Othman, was targeted in a raid, according to a statement released by the Israeli military.

Illa Waweya, a spokesperson for the Israeli army, confirmed the operation on social media platform X, stating that Al-Othman, described as a leading figure within the PIJ in Lebanon, was killed during the overnight operation in the Beirut region.
