AMMAN - Jordanian authorities have issued precautionary safety guidelines for residents living near the U.S. Embassy in Amman, urging vigilance and preparedness in the event of an emergency.
The Public Security Directorate called on residents in the vicinity of the embassy to take the following precautions upon hearing sirens.
Residents are advised to remain indoors until any potential threat subsides, indicated by a continuous, uninterrupted siren.
It is also advised to close all windows and stay away from them.
Motorists are instructed to immediately stop their vehicles and seek shelter in the nearest building, preferably near stairwells, until the alert concludes.
The directorate emphasized the importance of contacting the unified emergency number 911 without hesitation if needed.
The Public Security Directorate stressed that these precautionary measures are designed to ensure public safety and should not cause panic among citizens, advising everyone to adhere to them diligently.
