Riyadh's King Fahd International Stadium will host the opening match and final of the 2027 Asian Cup, as announced by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the Local Organising Committee.
The tournament, featuring 24 national teams, is scheduled to take place from January 7 to February 5, 2027, across three Saudi Arabian cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, and Khobar.
King Fahd International Stadium, with a seating capacity of 72,000, is the largest of the eight venues selected for the tournament. In addition to the opening match and final, it will host four group stage matches, including Saudi Arabia's second match on January 12, a Round of 16 match on January 24, and a quarter-final match five days later.
King Saud University Stadium, holding 26,000 spectators, is set to host five group stage matches and a Round of 16 match on January 25. The Kingdom Arena, also with a capacity of 26,000, will host four group stage matches, a Round of 16 match on January 22, and a quarter-final match on January 28.
Completing the venues in Riyadh, Imam Muhammad bin Saud University Stadium, with a capacity of 25,000, will host five group stage matches and a Round of 16 match on January 23. Al-Shabab Club Stadium, with 13,000 seats, will host four group stage matches and a Round of 16 match on January 22.
In Jeddah, King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, the second-largest venue with a capacity of 60,000, will host five group stage matches, a Round of 16 match on January 25, a quarter-final match on January 28, and a semi-final match on February 2.
Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium, also in Jeddah and holding 26,000, will host four group stage matches and a Round of 16 match on January 24.
In the Eastern Province, the Khobar Stadium, currently under construction with a planned capacity of 45,000, will host matches in all stages except the final. This includes four group stage matches, a Round of 16 match on January 23, a quarter-final match on January 29, and a semi-final match on February 1.
The final match schedule will be confirmed following the 19th edition of the Asian Cup draw on April 11 in the historic Al-Turaif district of Diriyah, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Riyadh.
Four spots remain open in the tournament, to be decided in the final round of qualifiers on March 31.
