The Governor of Aqaba, Khaled Hajaj, received a cash donation of 800,000 JD from the Arab Potas Company to participate in the establishment of a specialized civil defense center within the industrial zone south of Aqaba.

The delivery was attended by the Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors, Engineer Shhada Abu Hdeib, members of the Board, the Head of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, Engineer Nayef Bakhit, and a number of government officials in the governorate.
In a press statement on Friday, Al Hajaj said that the center would be built on 3,900 square meters of land at an estimated cost of 5 million JDs, with a donation from industrial companies operating in the area. He pointed out that the first donor to establish the center was the Jordanian phosphate company, worth about 800 thousand JD, and that the center will strengthen the security system of companies operating in the region.
