Economist Wajdi Makhamrah commented on the volume of trade
between Jordan and the State of Qatar during the first nine months of this
year, which was valued (USD 137.3million), up 4.8%, reflects the evolution of
trade relations between Jordan and the State of Qatar, especially in view of
Qatar's hosting of CASS, the evolution of trade relations, Qatar's need for
certain Jordanian products and the depth of economic integration pursued by the
Government in promoting exports to the Gulf countries.
In an exclusive talk with Al-Anbat, he added that the
increase in exports with the State of Qatar enhances the value of foreign
reserves at the Central Bank and enhances the production capacity of industrial
companies in Jordan that export, expand their activities and hire additional
workers.
In turn, economic
analyst Husam Aish stated that the value of these data related to trade between
Jordan and the State of Qatar accounts for less than 1% of Jordan's trade
volume around the world the increase and growth of these figures, as well as
Qatari investments in Jordan and the cooling of 10,000 opportunities, followed
by another 10,000 opportunities and the use of Jordan at the World Cup in
Qatar, resulted from the development of economic relations between Jordan and
Qatar.
He added that Jordanian workers' remittances in Qatar have
increased with an estimated 70,000 workers It is still low compared to the
volume of trade between Jordan and both Saudi Arabia and the Emirates, Jordan
should increase the quality of its products and know the requirements of the
Qatari market in order to compete in the Qatari market where Turkish and
Iranian products exist at the highest levels.
It is worth mentioning that Jordanian exports to Qatar are
based on fresh and manufactured food items and products, such as many varieties
of vegetables, fruit, meat, dates of all kinds, fresh cheese and dairy, meat
and derivatives, poultry and derivatives, cereals, sweets, cakes of all kinds,
rice, juices, nuts, oils and obesity of all kinds, and obesity of their kinds,
