The Minister of Agriculture, Khaled Al-Hunaifat, said that
the ministry will start next month to implement a campaign to organize the
livestock sector aimed at achieving justice in distributing support to
livestock breeders.
Al-Hanaifat added
during a meeting that included representatives of the Ministry of Interior,
departments of livestock and the Syndicate of Agricultural Engineers, on Sunday
that the campaign will implement procedures to verify and immunize, and then
conduct an inventory of the results until the end of the year.
He added that the numbering will be launched extensively in
the first months of the year 2023 within the hierarchical management of a
number of committees, which will work according to a number of stages that
include writing off and zeroing fictitious holdings, achieving vaccination
procedures for livestock, and reflecting these efforts on real holdings.
Al-Hanaifat indicated that the committees will include
monitoring bodies and security departments and will work over a period of 6
months to control and regulate the sector, noting that the ministry is studying
the use of electronic numbering through chips implanted in the animal’s body
and helps in creating a database for vaccinations, possession information and
the amount of support, and it is difficult to use it more than once or Its destruction, which contributes to
controlling and regulating the sector and achieving justice in the distribution
of support.
