China on Sunday reported 24 new confirmed COVID-19 infections over the last 24 hours, of which 16 were imported, according to the country’s National Health Commission (NHC).

In a daily statement, the commission said that it had received reports of 87,117 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland", adding that 82,088 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital, while 395 confirmed cases are still receiving treatment
