Syria says it shoots down drone in south

Alanbatnews - Syria said on Saturday it shot down an unidentified drone over Mount Hermon in the country's south.

The official Syrian news agency SANA said Syrian forces in Quneitra, on the border with the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, monitored the aircraft that flew in from the west and shot it down over the town of Arna on the slopes of Mount Hermon.

It said an examination of the wreckage showed the drone was supplemented with cluster bombs and C-4 high explosives.
