President of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU), Atef Tarawneh, urged the Arab Parliaments to stick to rejecting normalization with Israel as recommended during the AIPU's its last session held here.

Tarawneh made the remarks as he chaired the meetings of the AIPU's Executive Committee, which began its deliberations here on Thursday, adding Israel continues its belligerence against the Palestinian people and "snubs" the relevant international community resolutions.

In this context, he reiterated Jordan's unwavering stance to defend the Palestinian cause and the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

To bolster joint cooperation, he stressed the importance of strengthening the pan-Arab action to address common challenges.
