Jewish settlers set up new settlement post in Bethlehem

Al-Anbat - A group of Jewish extremist settlers early Monday set up a settlement caravan in the West Bank town of Batir, west of Bethlehem.

Palestinian official in charge of the settlement file in the western countryside of Bethlehem, Ibrahim Awadallah, said in a statement that the settlers stormed the area under the protection of occupation forces and installed the caravan with the aim of establishing a new settlement outpost in the area.

Awadallah added that occupation forces banned owner of the Palestinian land from accessing his land, noting that settlers had previously tried to make a new road to the area before being stopped by Palestinians.
