Jordan's Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) has designated Palestine, particularly the Gaza Strip, as its largest humanitarian focus, intensifying aid efforts during the annual Ramadan campaign.
The JHCO's annual Ramadan campaign, themed "Ramadan with Good is Different" for 2026, will channel support to families within Jordan and provide humanitarian assistance to Palestinians in Gaza, according to JHCO's Director of Communication and Media, Shahed Al-Anani.
Al-Anani emphasized the organization's commitment to addressing the escalating humanitarian challenges in the region, especially in Palestine, in a recent statement.
Inside Jordan, the campaign focuses on distributing food parcels to underprivileged families and refugee families across various governorates, aiming to alleviate living burdens and ensure food security during Ramadan.
In Gaza, the JHCO is implementing a comprehensive relief intervention, including the distribution of food parcels, tents, clothing, water, and hot meals to affected families facing dire conditions, Al-Anani stated.
Over the past five years, the JHCO has distributed over 200,000 food parcels, Iftar meals, and food vouchers to needy families, each parcel containing approximately 40 food items intended to sustain a family for a month.
Al-Anani explained that the JHCO collaborates with the National Aid Fund, the Syrian and Palestinian Refugee Affairs Department, and civil society organizations to identify and reach vulnerable families in Jordan, ensuring aid reaches those in need with fairness and dignity.
Since the start of the conflict in Gaza, the JHCO has maintained continuous aid delivery to meet the needs of affected families, acting upon royal directives to intensify humanitarian efforts in the region.
Founded to serve as the Kingdom's humanitarian arm abroad, the JHCO has provided assistance to approximately 42 countries worldwide.
