Jordan Boosts Youth Role in Anti-Drug, Community Safety Initiatives

AMMAN - Jordan's Ministry of Youth is collaborating with security agencies to launch nationwide programs aimed at combating drug abuse, promoting community peace, and enhancing traffic safety awareness among young people.

Minister of Youth, Raed Sami Adwan, emphasized the ministry's commitment to a collaborative approach with national and security institutions. The goal is to implement specialized field programs addressing drug prevention, traffic safety, community peace, and cybercrime awareness, ultimately building a well-informed and resilient generation capable of confronting challenges.

Adwan highlighted plans for intensive training and awareness programs in youth centers and sports cities, overseen by experts from the Public Security Directorate. This reflects institutional integration in protecting young people and strengthening their participation in maintaining community security.

The initiative aligns with a national vision to unify official efforts in safeguarding society and establishing a comprehensive preventive system, where young people play an active role in preserving the nation's security and stability. The recent meeting included discussions on launching a series of joint quality and awareness programs targeting young people in youth centers and sports cities across the Kingdom's governorates.

The meeting, held with directors from the Public Security Directorate, focused on translating national efforts to strengthen the role of youth in national priorities, particularly in combating drug abuse and promoting community peace.
