Jordan and the UK showcase water sector opportunities to British companies
The Ministry of Water and Irrigation and the British Embassy Amman hosted a joint webinar this week highlighting opportunities in Jordan's water sector for British companies, building on the momentum of the recent Jordan-UK Business Forum.
The webinar was opened by H.E. Eng. Raed Abu Saud, Minister of Water and Irrigation, and British Ambassador to Jordan Philip Hall, and brought together leading UK firms with expertise across water infrastructure, engineering, digital technology and water management.
Minister Abu Saud highlighted the importance of the water sector to Jordan's future and reaffirmed the Government's commitment to strengthening water security through investment, innovation and international partnership. He encouraged British companies to engage with the opportunities on offer and to visit Jordan to explore potential areas for collaboration.
Mr Hall welcomed the strong participation from UK companies and highlighted the UK's leading expertise in the water sector. He looked forward to new Jordanian-British partnerships in the sector.
The webinar provided a platform for direct engagement between Jordanian stakeholders and UK businesses, showcasing upcoming opportunities and reinforcing both countries' commitment to strengthening trade, investment and cooperation in the water sector.
