Dubai's Jebel Ali Port Resumes Operations After Brief Halt
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - Operations at Jebel Ali Port in Dubai have resumed, DP World said on Monday, following a temporary suspension.
The port, a critical hub for Dubai's commercial trade and the largest container port in the Middle East, had halted operations across all its terminals as a precautionary measure, the company said.
The Dubai government's media office reported on Sunday that civil defense teams had successfully controlled a fire that broke out at one of the berths in Jebel Ali Port. The fire was caused by debris from aerial interception operations. Authorities responded immediately, and no injuries were reported.
The brief suspension and subsequent resumption of operations at Jebel Ali Port underscores its importance to the region's trade and logistics network.
