Jordan to Launch Government Services Hub in Ajloun

Jordan's Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship is developing a new government services center in Ajloun, aiming to streamline citizen access to essential services.

The ministry highlighted the increasing popularity of the Jerash Government Services Center, which serves between 500 and 800 visitors monthly. This success is driving the expansion of similar centers across the country.

The Jerash center currently offers 39 government services, including attestation of Jordanian academic certificates for the Ministry of Higher Education, first-time exemptions for those over 40, permits for conscripts, payment approvals for the Ministry of Labor, services from the Jordan Post Company, electricity subsidy inquiries for the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission, electronic sales for the Department of Lands and Survey, traffic violation inquiries, and property tax inquiries and payments for the Greater Amman Municipality.

Recent additions to government service centers include the Ministry of Higher Education, the Department of Lands and Survey, the Greater Amman Municipality, and the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission.

Future services planned for integration include technical inspections for small vehicles, activation of smart card services, residency and border services, and eye exams for issuing third and seventh category driver's licenses.

Passport renewal and issuance services are already operational since the pilot launch of the Jerash center. The activation of national ID and smart card services is expected by the end of the third quarter.
