Saudi Arabia intercepted and destroyed two drones targeting the Ras Tanura refinery, a key oil facility, according to a statement released by the Saudi Ministry of Defense.

The interception successfully thwarted the attack, officials said. Debris from the intercepted drones fell near civilian areas.

A minor fire broke out at the refinery as a result of falling debris, but it was quickly brought under control, the ministry's spokesperson, Brigadier General Turki al-Malki, stated on Monday. No casualties were reported.
