Apple Reportedly Enhancing Front Camera on Future iPhone Pro Models

Apple is reportedly focusing on significant front camera improvements for its future iPhone Pro models, aiming to differentiate them from the standard versions, according to industry reports.

The updated front camera is described as rivaling professional-grade cameras with variable sensors. The specifics of how this sensor technology will function and enhance image quality remain unclear.

Apple has also managed to integrate some Face ID sensors under the display, reducing the size of the dynamic island, which will now house the front camera sensor alongside the TrueDepth sensor.

The new front camera is expected to feature a 24-megapixel sensor, an upgrade from the 18-megapixel sensor found in current iPhone models. This camera is also expected to be included in the standard upcoming iPhone model.

The new sensor is expected to significantly improve nighttime photography, with a focus on enhancing image clarity and detail, according to reports.

Previously, Apple updated the front cameras across all iPhone models, introducing a new square sensor to replace the rectangular one.

This change allowed the front camera to capture images in multiple orientations without physically rotating the phone.

The company is also anticipated to release its first foldable phone, which may not include the new camera sensor due to Apple's intention to place the internal front camera under the screen.

Apple is expected to announce its new phones at its annual event. Reports suggest that only three phones will be launched this time.
