Aqaba Port Operations Unaffected by Global Events, Officials Say
AQABA - Maritime traffic and port operations at the Port of Aqaba are proceeding normally, according to Mahmoud Khleifat, Director General of the Aqaba Ports Management and Operation Company.
Khleifat stated that six ships are currently docked at the port, carrying various goods and commodities, including barley, coal, and iron.
In a press statement, Khleifat emphasized that the Port of Aqaba is a safe haven for traders and enjoys a positive reputation both locally and internationally, owing to its strategic location and secure environment.
He added that the main Port of Aqaba is scheduled to receive several ships carrying vehicles and livestock in the coming days, as part of the planned arrival schedule for commercial vessels.
Khleifat noted that the flow of ships into the port has not been affected by international events.
He also affirmed the existence of a comprehensive emergency plan at the port to ensure the smooth and secure entry of supply chains into the Kingdom.
