
Accomplishing projects for the educational sector in the southern Badia

The Director of the South Badia Education Directorate, Dr. Samia Bardini, said that the Directorate had completed a number of projects aimed to improving the educational reality of schools in the South Badia, beside that launching new projects.
She added to the Jordanian News Agency (PETRA) , on Monday, that a new primary school had been opened in Al-Jafr, to ease overcrowding at Queen Rania's School and to place 86 students from the basic stage level to the new school, providing it with supplies, equipment and integrated educational cadre, an extension has also been rented to the Nusaiba Bint Kaab School in the Abu Al-Lussan area to reduce overcrowding.
The Directorate had submitted bids for the establishment of the Abubakar Saddik School core in the Al-Husaineyah Brigade at a cost of 309 thousand dinars and the establishment of the core of the Hashemite primry School in the Hashemite region at a cost of 303 thousand dinars, which would be implemented in the coming weeks, Thus contributing to the strengthening of the school infrastructure.
Bardini noted that the Directorate of Education for Southern Badia
currently has 16 charter schools and 62 schools belongs to the Ministry of
Education, indicating that the establishment of new schools in recent years
have contributed to reducing the number of tenants schools and providing
quality learning environments.
She indicated that the project to establish the core of the Halima Al-Sadiya School in Al-Husaineyah Brigade had been completed, with a tender value of 245,000 dinars, indicating that the project was in the initial receipt phase.
Dr. Al-Bardini explained that work was continuing to carry out maintenance work for the Directorate's building at a cost of 13.5 thousand dinars, other maintenance work at the Elle Basic School for Girls and Abu Musa Al-Ashari School at a cost of 24,000 dinars, and the two schools of Al-Hashemite Male and Al Husainiyah girls at a cost of 20 thousand dinars.
In addition to other maintenance works in Rashid Elementary Boys’ Schools, Adhra Secondary Girls’ Schools, Al Hashemiyah Secondary Girls’ Schools, and Elle District Schools at a cost of 51 thousand dinars, and Abu Dana's boys at a cost of 30 thousand dinars.
She indicated that 174 air conditioners were installed in the schools of
Al-Jafr, Al-Hussainiya and Al-Marigha, to improve the educational environments
in them.
A bid was also placed to install umbrellas for a number of schools in the Al-Jafr area, at a cost of 19,000 dinars.
She said that two projects for the construction of five-a-side
playgrounds for students in Sweimra and Tasan have begun, at a cost of 110
thousand dinars, and work has begun to implement a project to establish a
five-a-side playground in Basta boys' schools, and Sadaqa schools at a cost of
108 thousand dinars.
