Interior Minister Samir Mubaideen on Thursday stressed the need to adhere to defence orders in terms of Friday lockdown, daily curfew hours, as well as wearing masks and social distancing.
This came during a meeting with senior officers of the Public Security Directorate to discuss procedures of implementing Defense Order No. 26, issued in response to the recent epidemiological update.
The minister urged citizens to fully cooperate with local governors and public security officers, indicating that such measures aim at safeguarding public health and enhancing preventive behaviors against COVID, reiterating that violators will face serious penalties.
