China on Sunday recorded 17 new confirmed COVID-19 cases over the last 24 hours, of which 14 were imported, the country's National Health Commission (NHC) said in its daily statement.

"The commission had received reports of 86,431 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland," the statement added.
The 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland reported 11 new asymptomatic cases, all were imported cases, it further said.
