Israeli occupation authorities demolished last month, 54 housing units and issued demolishing orders for dozens of Palestinian residential and commercial facilities in the West Bank, the Jerusalem Center for Israeli and Palestinian Studies said on Sunday.

The Center reported that Israeli government also approved the construction of thousands of settlement housing units in the West Bank after confiscating and razing the land of Palestinian citizens and opening roads for settlement purposes.

"During the past month, there have been cases in which Palestinians demolished their homes in Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948, on the grounds that they were built without permits," the report added, noting that these acts weigh on the Palestinians and increase their suffering.
