Alanbat - Amman - Nemat AlKhorah A government source said to Alanbat that a meeting of the finance ministers of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, in addition to Jordan, will take place in Amman in the next few days. The source added that the meeting comes to implement the commitments of the Mecca summit to provide a package of economic aid to Jordan through a grant of 2.5 billion dollars after the country witnessed protests in July.
The source pointed out that the managers of the sovereign funds in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the UAE have stayed ahead of the ministers' visit and are currently in Amman to remove any obstacles that stand behind the completion of the implementation of these pledges, pointing out at the same time that a press conference will be held to inform the public about the latest developments in this file. He added that The brothers in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait will provide significant support to Jordan through investments and jobs for Jordanians, in addition to contributing to the fields of education, health and infrastructure, and the coming days will witness the best for Jordan.
The Gulf support for Jordan, which is a continuation of the brotherly and historical ties between Jordan and its brothers in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE is a deposit in the Central Bank of Jordan,Guarantees to the World Bank for the benefit of Jordan as well as annual support to the Jordanian government's budget for five years and funding from Development Funds for development projects.
