The members of the American congress senators Lindsey Garaham and sen. Christopher Connors said that Jordan is the best ally for the United States and the aid provided to the US will not end with the memorandum of understanding that was signed recently between the two countries . 

And they stressed during a press conference held in Amman on Tuesday the Jordan’s pivotal role in the region as well as the burden of Syrian Asylum , stressing the difficulty of the refugee problem in Jordan. 

In their speech about the peace process, they stressed that east Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine and the US recognition of the Jerusalem as the capital of Israel does not mean ending the Palestine issue and the option of a two states solution .

And they noted that when they return to Washington, they will look into ways to help Jordan’s economy to achieve growth, and there will be forthcoming aid to Jordan to be allocated by congress. 

They mentioned that  they would visit Israel after the end of their tour and meetings in Jordan.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said there is no ally for the US better than  Jordan, and that efforts would be made to find ways to help Jordan's economy to achieve growth , noted the difficulty of the refugee problem on Jordan's economy.

Graham said there would be aid coming to Jordan, noting that the memorandum of understanding between the two countries signed recently is a commitment by the United States to help Jordan and it  will work to allocate more support, and  that the countries which the United States signed memoranda of understanding with are  only Jordan and Israel .

Graham said About the  security cooperation that the United States is assisting Jordan's security forces. Jordan is also a key partner for the United States in exchanging intelligence information and cooperating in the fight against terrorism.

Graham said he did not know how the shape of the region would look like without Jordan .

And his question about why  a US ambassador to Jordan was absent a year ago, Graham said there were qualified to serve as US ambassadors in Jordan and would move the question to Washington because Jordan is America's best friend.

Graham said about jerusalem,  that the American recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is a decades-long recognition and its the position of the United States of America, and it does not negate the two states solution and that East Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine.

And In his speech about the International affairs, Graham expressed his hope to find a solution to the Kurdish-Turkish problem, adding that he understood the concerns about the Kurdish presence in northern Syria, saying that he was always wondering how the scene would end in al-Raqqa.

Graham said that he told the king during a meeting they had gathered on a dinner the day before yesterday that the things he was dreading in the region were Syria 

And in his speech about the Syrian crisis, Graham asked who would accept Damascus to be in Iran's hands. He went on to say he had not seen a plan to reduce Iran's interference in Syria.

For his part, the  Democratic Senator Christopher Kunz said that the United States supports the memorandum of understanding that signed with Jordan recently and there is a desire to to the relation to be stronger and stronger  between the two countries.

As conze explained that a country like Jordan should have a US ambassador .

Conze said in his speech about Jerusalem, it is important to make peace proposals, noting that recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel was not meant to end the issue.accordingly "One of the solutions is that East Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine," 

 

Conze said Turning to the Syrian crisis, that Kurds, Turks, Russians and Iranians were working in Syria and that there was a campaign to fight the ISIS  and Jordan had a big role in it .

 

And he added that America will not leave Syria and it will remain engaged to work with their partners to support the Syrian , noting that the diplomacy will take its time .
