Palestinian human rights center demands the international community to intervene to stop the violations of the occupation
Al-Anbat - Mohammad Allahham
Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights called on the international
community to intervene urgently and do its duty to stop the escalating Occupation
violations of human rights in the Palestinian territories, which violate the
principles contained in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Al-Mezan Center said in a press release issued on the
occasion of International Human Rights Day, which falls on the 10 thof December, that this occasion falls this year while the occupied Palestinian
territories are witnessing a rapid deterioration of the basic rights included
in the Declaration, whether civil and political, or economic, social and
cultural, due to the continuation and the escalation of the grave and
systematic Israeli violations and the escalation of discrimination and
apartheid practices against the indigenous people.
He pointed out that the Occupation forces continues their
violations of the rules of international human rights law, especially the right
to life and physical integrity, and practiced premeditated cold-blooded
killing, targeting unarmed civilians, including children and women, in their military
attacks.
He affirmed that the occupation authorities continued their
attacks on public and private property and civilian objects, through bombing,
demolitions, bulldozing, confiscation, incursion and vandalism, including the
destruction of homes on top of their inhabitants, the leveling of agricultural
lands, the uprooting of fruit trees, and the destruction of residential homes,
industrial and commercial facilities, and infrastructure facilities.
The Center added in its statement that the occupation forces
violate the rights of Palestinians to freedom of movement, through hundreds of
fixed and flying military checkpoints that cut off the West Bank, while the
occupation forces practice the most heinous forms of humiliation against
Palestinian civilians at the checkpoints, and seek to Judaize the city of
Jerusalem and isolate it from its Arab surroundings.
