The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Finance, Dr. Abdul Hakim Al-Shibli, said that the financing budget will have a volume of 2.3 billion dinars, distributed over the budget deficit of 1.9 billion and financing the Water Authority deficit of 350 million dinars.

In response to an inquiry by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), he added that the volume of domestic debt in bonds amounts to 6.7 billion dinars, of which 4.4 billion will be extinguished next year, indicating the government's intention to borrow 2.3 billion dinars, of which 900 million will be borrowed from abroad.

Regarding the final accounts for the year 2022, Al-Shibli indicated that they will be finally submitted to the government according to its constitutional period.

With regard to the size of the debts belonging to the Social Security Fund, he indicated that they amounted to 7.7 billion dinars and were being paid at the specified normal time, and that their exclusion from the total public debt came from Jordan's approach with other countries that use the same statistical standard, stressing the commitment to pay all arrears that accrue to the central government.
