The Assistant Secretary-General for Agricultural Extension, Engineer Baker Balawneh, emphasized the need for farmers to follow up on weather bulletins issued by the Official Weather Service, which determine periods of frost, indicating that the Ministry is sending leaflets to farmers days before frost is likely to occur to remind them.

He called on farmers to tighten and close vents and doors in the afternoon to preserve the internal heat of protected plantations covered by plastic houses. In addition to the need to irrigate the plantations at dawn hours to increase the water content in the cells and thereby reduce the potential for intracellular juice to freeze the implants, both covered and exposed.

He pointed out the need to tighten and cover barns in plastic or by using any means to prevent the entry of water into the barn, and isolate newborns and mothers in a warm and dry angle to prevent the occurrence of chest and epidemiological diseases, and the need to narrow cell vents to preserve and cover the bees' internal heat and to close the upper coverings, explaining that these are mitigating preventive measures and not curative because  there is no  treatment for frost
