Ministry of Development: "Electronic Donations" will address mechanisms to confront electronic begging

An informed source explained in the Ministry of Social Development that the development of fundraising system is still in legislation and opinion bureau and it hasn't been released yet, stressing that the new system deal with electronic begging, and the ways to confront it, due to the absence of any applicable text in the penal code.

He continued in exclusive statements to the "Alanbat" that the old of the fundraising system in force necessitated reviewing the system and including such that procedures to ensure compliance with provisions of the legislation in force, in addition to ensuring the achievement of the goals for which the donations are collected.

He explained that the committee was directed to look at electronic donations in general and individual electronic donations from non-civil society organizations and to find a mechanism for those who do not adhere to the donation system and follow it up, especially those arising from community initiatives.
