Most Jordanians, like myself, the Minister, and most of the people present at this event are grown up in the tradition of olive oil farming. Once I will retire from my public responsibilities it is my dream to return to my family farm to go back to my roots and continue our rich tradition for the generations to come.

Growing olive oil demand on international markets because of health & wellness benefits.
According to Fortune Business Insights*, the global olive oil market is projected to grow from $14.19 billion in 2022 to $17.79 billion by 2029, at a CAGR of 3.28% in the forecast period, 2022-2029. The market is experiencing this robust growth primarily due to increasing demand for olive oil across the food service and retail channels. The trend of maintaining overall health & wellness is shifting consumers to healthier nutrient rich olive oil in their daily diets and this is driving this strong growth in demand. In addition to the increased awareness of health benefits there is a growing interest in trying out exotic cuisine like the popularity of the Levant cuisine with "mezze being the new tapas.” Consumers nowadays also pay more attention to label claims, and that’s why a sophisticated Jordanian olive oil sector brand identity can really help to stand out for people to try something new and original from the Middle East. Although most of Jordanian olive oil is consumed domestically we also witness an increased demand for Jordanian Olive Oil on the international markets.

"The rise of Jordanian Olive Oil does not go unnoticed. This year a record of eight Jordanian producers entered in over ten international olive oil competitions in amongst others, Canada, London, New York, Japan, China, Germany, Italy, Amsterdam, Dubai and Istanbul. Together they won a record of over 49 Awards, increasing the international IOC ranking from 34 only a couple of years ago to the current 16th position worldwide.”
Mr. Fayyad Al-Zayoud the Chairman of The Jordanian Association of Exporters of Olive Products (JOPEA)

Ready to discover the original premium taste from heart of the Levant.
Following the trends in the market, the Jordanian Olive Oil will position themselves on offering extra virgin olive oil that will meet the highest international standards at the same time offering a different taste profile to European Olive Oils. Jordanian olive oil matches the taste of curating chefs and gourmet food lovers that value the Middle East cuisine and that are ready to discover the new, unique taste & flavours from the Hashemite Kingdom at the cradle of olives and olive oil, right in the heart of the Levant region.

"With the recent rediscovery of Jordanian olive oil the history repeats itself by returning to Jordan as the historical cradle of olive trees and olive oil in the world "
