AL- Kharabsheh: The map will offer a comprehensive location to direct the investor in their hunt for various mining industry choices.
The map enables the investor or researcher to handle information in several ways that are quick, simple, and uncomplicated, according to Al-Kharabsheh.
Jordan is the fourth-ranked nation in the world for shale oil deposits, according to Al-Kharabsheh.
As part of the Ministry's efforts to maximize the exploitation of natural resources, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh on Monday unveiled an interactive sector marketing map (mineral wealth and petroleum and gas exploration) that presents geographical distribution and technical information to investment opportunities available in the two sectors.
Al-Kharabsheh claimed that the map, which is prominently displayed on the ministry's website, will offer an integrated site to help the investor in seeking various options in the mining sector to save effort and time in accessing accurate information in line with His Majesty King Abdullah II's vision of luring more investment and keeping pace with the vision of economic modernization.
The mineral wealth map displays 13 different mineral ores that are available for investment (basalt, bentonite, chalk, copper, diatomite, dolomite, fladspar, gold, gypsum, kaolin, phosphate, pure limestone, silica sand).
The location of the coordinates for the metal ore can be focused in various ways thanks to the map, according to him, allowing the investor or researcher to handle the information in an easy and simplified manner.
The position of the coordinates for the metal deposit may be concentrated in a variety of ways using the map, he claimed, allowing the investor or researcher to handle the information in a simple, straightforward manner.
A shale window was designated by the map and it showed open sites for investment in shale power generation as well as other open areas for investment in shale in the cement industry. A portion of the map was given to corporations engaging in the mining industry as well as signatory companies for memorandums of understanding to investigate and assess particular ores in order to explain the areas subject to investment in mineral ores.
The allocation of a window for shale, according to Minister Al-Kharabsheh, is necessary given the importance of the widespread presence of this petroleum on the territory of the Kingdom and Jordan's ranking as the fourth-largest reserve-holding nation in the world.
Minister Al-Kharabsheh explained that the map, in order to clarify the image of the investor, provided technical reports and studies for each metal, with information on the size of the mineral ore and the results of laboratory analyses of its chemical composition and what studies have been carried out in the mineral ore areas, which helps the investor to build a perception of the potential for investment in the Kingdom.
