8.5 million dinars, the budget of the Aqaba Governorate Council 2023

The Aqaba Governorate
Council and the Governorate Executive Council discussed correcting the 2022
budget, and approved the 2023 budget at 8.5 million dinars, to serve the needs
of citizens in the governorate.
The head of the
Provincial Council, Imad Amr, said during the meeting, which was held on
Monday, in the governorate building, in the presence of the Commissioner for
Leadership and Youth in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, Ramzi
Kabariti, that the council approved the budget at 8.5 million dinars for the
year 2023, the largest share of which was allocated to the education, health
and youth sectors, Pointing out that the council holds a different view of the
budget for this year and the next, focusing on leadership, education, youth, rehabilitation
and human development.
Amr pointed out that
the council is going to introduce new items in its budget aimed at achieving
sustainable development in the local community, in addition to agreeing on the
principle of partnership with the private sector, the Aqaba Economic and
National Zone Authority for Training, Employment, Public Security, the
University of Jordan and the Crown Prince Foundation, and the establishment of
a fund to support youth entrepreneurial projects and the importance of Training
and qualifying them in various fields and sectors to enable them to work in all
professions available in the labor market locally and regionally.
