Tax revenue rises 13% until July

Total tax revenues increased by 13% during the first seven months of this year, or 413 million dinars, compared to the same period last year, according to the Director General of the Income and Sales Tax Department, Hussam Abu Ali.
The total value of tax revenues amounted to 3.57 billion dinars at the end of the first seven months of this year, compared to about 3.15 billion dinars in the same period last year.
Income tax accounted for 34.3 percent of total revenues, amounting to 1,225 billion dinars during the first seven months of this year, according to Abu Ali.
In the current year's budget, the government estimated that tax revenues would reach about 6.08 billion dinars, accounting for 75% of domestic revenues, which are estimated to reach 8.06 billion.
The government estimated that by the end of this year, the value of income tax would reach about 1.28 billion dinars, about 4.26 billion in sales tax, and about 355 million dinars in taxes on international trade and transactions.
