Fuheis Festival kicked off yesterday

The thirtieth session of the Fuheis Festival will start on Wednesday evening, which will last for ten days, and will include several activities and the participation of Jordanian and Arab artists.  

The festival's activities, which are held weekly, include a lyrical operetta entitled "Land of Peace" and "Independence for Folk Arts" from Palestine, followed by a concert by the Egyptian Opera House orchestra.  Jordanian and Arab artists will participate in the festival, including Dalal Abu Amneh, George Wassouf, Melhem Zain, Alama, Muhammad Assaf, Majed Zureikat, Jihad Sarkis, Diana Karazon, Moeen, Basil Jraisat, Mahmoud Sultan, Atallah Hendel Sharifa, Musabib and Hamdi Al-Manasir.  

Festival director Ayman Samawi said, "The festival has been presenting a program that takes into account the diversity of the Jordanian family's tastes and addresses its thought and sheds light on Jordan's history.  Showing folkloric performances and learning about different world cultures.The Fuheis Festival was launched in 1990 and has continued since then without interruption by the Ministry of Culture.

This cultural and artistic festival is held by the Fuheis Youth Club under the slogan "Jordan is History and Civilization.” 

The festival’s activities include a memorial ceremony for the poet Jeries Samawi,  Bazaars, exhibitions, workshops and cultural seminars.

The Palestinian artist, Dalal Abu, said that "her presence this year in the festival is for her artistic and musical project concerned with spreading Palestinian heritage and folklore".  

He showed that he will participate in the memorial of the poet and former minister Grace Samawi, and reciting some of his poems on the evening  Assessed nudity.
