Experts and workers in the tourism sector stressed the importance of regional cooperation in the field of tourism, which is reflected positively on the increase in the number of tourists coming to Jordan and the region in general, and the increase in tourism income for each country.

In statements to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), they said that the presence of a highly efficient regional tourism infrastructure is one of the most important tourist attractions that can help visitors to the region discover the depth and breadth of environmental, cultural, historical and civilizational diversity in this region of the world, noting that security The stability and unique and diverse tourism product that Jordan enjoys is a magnet for tourists and an opportunity for the high growth of the tourism sector.

They called for intensifying efforts and cooperation between the various parties in the region in the field of joint promotion, to enhance the region's tourist attraction from abroad, in addition to launching and implementing joint tourism programs.

Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality at the University of Jordan, Aqaba Branch, Dr. Ibrahim Bazazo, said that achieving tourism integration between Jordan, the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Arab countries is a goal to achieve the demands of comprehensive tourism development, because of its importance in setting development strategies for the tourism sector in Jordan.

He added that defining a general concept of integration with the countries of the region is of great importance when starting to develop tourism plans for Jordan, as it contributes to defining the existing human and natural tourism components, and thus determining the basic requirements for implementing the desired tourism development.

Dr. Bazazo called for changing the marketing strategies of the Jordanian tourism product in general, and targeting Arab tourists more, in addition to working to achieve tourism integration with the NEOM region in northwestern Saudi Arabia, and to enhance prospects for fruitful cooperation with the UAE in developing the Aqaba port system so that it becomes Logistics station to receive tourists from different countries of the world.

He also called for strengthening cooperation in the regional tourism marketing field with the Egyptian government, implementing joint tourism programs between the two countries, establishing a supreme council consisting of tourism decision-making leaders, businessmen and investors to develop joint tourism between Jordan and all Arab countries, and setting up a joint mechanism to support the tourism sector in the Kingdom.

For his part, Professor in the Department of Tourism and Travel at Yarmouk University, Dr. Abdul Qader Ababneh, said that regional cooperation is one of the most important planning policies and strategies that countries rely on in order to benefit from these tourism strategies, stressing that the experience of Jordan and other countries in this field has been effective in increasing Activate the tourism movement.

He explained that the agreements signed between the countries of the region, facilitating procedures and easing travel restrictions between them, contribute significantly to increasing intra-regional tourism and attracting tourists from different countries of the world.

He pointed out that regional cooperation in the field of tourism has several advantages, including increasing the attraction of tourism investments, through the investment facilities and incentives provided according to the agreements.
