Amman Industry Exports 4.159 Billion Dinars in Just 7 Months

In comparison to the same period last year, Amman Chamber of Industry's exports increased by 57 percent over the last seven months of this year, continuing their upward trend.
The Chamber's exports increased to 4.159 billion dinars during the final seven months of this year, up from 2.656 billion dinars during the same period last year, according to statistics data from Amman Industry, Petra.  
With the exception of therapeutic industries and medical supplies, which saw a 9 percent decline in exports to 300 million dinars from 330 million dinars during the same period last year, the majority of industrial sectors had increases in exports over the final seven months of this year. 
Statistics show that since the start of this year, Amman industry exports have been growing at previously unheard-of rates. 
The statistics demonstrate that Jordan's industry is able to overcome challenges and compete with export markets because of their high quality, which necessitates more possibility for manufacturers to raise production and expand companies that create more jobs. 
Due to the export of 1,400 various items, the majority of the Kingdom's regions contribute to the export of Jordanian industrial goods to more than 142 markets globally.
The sector, which currently employs 254 thousand people, is crucial to the Kingdom's trade balance since it generates 93% of all exports, which can reach 5 billion dinars annually, while investments number 15 billion dinars.
In the final seven months of this year, Amman Chamber of Industry exported goods worth 2.199 billion dinars, with more than half of those goods going to India, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq.
The Chamber's exports to India increased by 105 percent in the final seven months of the current year, from 432 million dinars for the same period last year to 888 million, making India the top Arab and foreign market for Amman industry exports. 
Comparing the final seven months of this year to the same period last year, the Chamber's exports to the United States increased by 7% to 560 million dinars. 
Amman exported 418 million dinars to Saudi Arabia in the last seven months, up 25% from 335 million dinars during the same period last year. 
The last seven months of this year saw a rise in Amman industry exports to Iraq, from 293 million to 333 million dinars, a 14% increase. 
The Chamber's exports to Syria during the final seven months of this year climbed by 33% to 66 million dinars from 50 million dinars during the same period last year. 
Over the final seven months of this year, Amman's exports to brotherly Palestine increased by 35%, totaling roughly 97 million dinars, up from 72 million dinars during the same period previous year. 
The Chamber exported goods worth 1.409 billion dinars in the last seven months of this year, 893 million in chemical and cosmetics, and 526 million in engineering, electrical, and computer technology. 
Exports from the ration, food, agricultural, and animal sectors totaled 391 million dinars, while those from the leather and sewage industries totaled 255 million. 
The remaining exports from Amman over the final seven months of this year were split among the following industries: paper, cardboard, packaging, and office supplies, totaling 171 million dinars; plastic and rubber, worth 147 million dinars; construction, worth 53 million dinars; and wood and furniture, at roughly 13 million dinars.
