National team under age 23 leaves for Uzbekistan to participate in Asian finals

The delegation of the national team under the age of 23 left
this evening onSaturday, for the city of Karshi in Uzbekistan, in preparation
for the participation in the Asian Cup finals, which start on the first of
June.
The team concluded its seven-day training camp in Qatar,
during which it faced the hosts twice, drawing in the first match 1-1, before
winning the second 3-2.
Al-Nashama coach Adnan Hamad was in the farewell to the
delegation from Doha, where he met the technical staff led by Ahmed Hayel and
the players at their residence before leaving for Uzbekistan, stressing the
importance of appearing at the required level and achieving the desired results
during the Asian finals.
The squad list includes 24 players: Abdullah Al-Fakhouri,
Ahmed Jaidi, Qais Abbasi, Hadi Al-Hourani, Yazan Abdel-Al, Hossam Abu Dahab,
Daniel Afana, Shawqi Al-Qaza’a, Youssef Abu Al-Jazr, Muhannad Abu Taha, Bassam
Daldom, Ibrahim Saadeh, Nizar Al-Rashdan, Abd al-Rahman Abu al-Kas, Fadl Haikal, Hamza al-Saifi, Ahmad Abu Shaira,
Amin al-Shanaynah, Omar Hani, Khaled Sayahin, Bashar Thiabat, Muhammad Abu
Rizk, Abdullah Awad, and Zaid al-Asfar.
The draw for the Asian cup finals under the age 23 cup put
the team in second Group along with Australia, Iraq and Kuwait.
The team will open its finals campaign against Iraq on the
first of next June at the Central Stadium in Karshi, before meeting Kuwait on
the 4th of the same month at the same stadium, to conclude the first round
confrontations with a meeting with Australia on the 7th of it at Lokomotiv
Stadium in Tashkent.
The upcoming Asian finals are not eligible for the Olympics,
as the continental qualifiers for the 2024 Paris Olympics will be held during
the next year 2023.
