Raising the number of pilgrims to one million from inside and outside Saudi Arabia

The Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia decided on Saturday, to raise the number of pilgrims during
this year's pilgrimage season to 1 million from both inside and outside the
Kingdom, in accordance with the quotas allocated to States, taking into
consideration the health recommendations.
The Saudi
Ministry of Pilgrimage and Omrah explained that this year's pilgrimage season
will be in accordance to several controls, as the age group is below 65 years,
with the requirement to complete immunization with basic doses of Corona vaccination
approved by the Ministry of Health.
For those
arriving for pilgrimage from outside Saudi Arabia are required to provide the
result of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours before departure to Saudi
Arabia.
The Ministry
of Pilgrimage and Omrah stressed the need for pilgrims to adhere precautionary
measures and to follow preventive instructions while performing their rituals
of in order to preserve their health and safety.
This
decision is based on the constant concern of the Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques for the safety of the pilgrims and visitors of Prophet Mohammad, peace
and blessings be upon him, and to ensure their safety and security. And the
interest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the regularity of the obligations of
pilgrimage, enabling the largest number of Muslims around the world to perform
their pilgrimage rituals and visit Al-Nabawi Al-Sharif Mosque in an atmosphere
of spirituality and reassurance, while preserving the health gains imposed by
the Kingdom in the face of the Corona virus pandemic.
