1.1 billion dinars trade balance deficit of the Kingdom with the Arab Free Trade Area.

The trade balance deficit of the Kingdom with the countries of the Greater Arab Free Trade Zone increased from the beginning of this year until last August, by 83.7 percent to reach about 1.119 billion dinars, compared to the same period last year, which amounted to 609 million dinars.

According to Foreign Trade Data issued by the Department of Statistics, the value of national exports to the countries of the Greater Arab Free Trade Zone until the end of August of this year increased by 14.7 percent, to reach about 1.476 billion dinars, compared to the same period last year, which amounted to 1.286 million dinars.

 The value of Jordan's imports from the Greater Arab Free Trade Zone until the end of August of this year increased by 37 percent, amounting to about 2,595 billion dinars, compared to the same period last year, which amounted to 1,895 billion dinars.

 According to the figures of the Department of Statistics, the increase in the Kingdom's import of precious jewelry by 502.1 percent, amounting to about 548 million dinars, compared to the same period last year, amounting to 91 million dinars, contributed to this rise.

 According to the report, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia topped the list of Jordanian exports to the countries of the Greater Arab Free Trade Zone until the end of August of this year, reaching about 511 million dinars, and Saudi Arabia also topped the list of countries from which Jordan imports, where the Kingdom's imports from Saudi Arabia reached nearly the 1.410 billion dinars, thus, the trade balance deficit with Saudi Arabia, at the end of last August, amounted to about 899 million dinars.
