Bangladesh, Jordan launch platform to boost economic ties, says envoy

 Bangladeshi Ambassador to Jordan Nahida Subhan said that her country's embassy is working to launch a platform for businessmen from Jordan and Bangladesh to exchange views, and enhance trade and economic cooperation between the two sides.

The ambassador made her remarks during a meeting with journalists on Monday, stressing that Jordan and Bangladesh maintain strong and deep-rooted ties. She added that both countries work together in international forum to protect their interests.

"Bangladesh’s achievement in women empowerment, reduction in maternal and child mortality rate, food productions, ruleof law, climate change resilience and digitalization of Bangladesh has given a wide spectrum of scope to share its experiences to the world," the envoy indicated.

Subhan hailed Jordan's expertise in the fields of information technology and good governance, saying " it is the right time to move forward and foster the existing relations through mutual cooperation."

The ambassador also reviewed the economic development of Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The embassy, she highlighted, is looking forward to strengthening cooperation and partnership with the Jordan Press Association (JPA) and media institutions to serve and enhance Jordanian-Bangladeshi ties in various domains.
